How to Pick Winning Lottery Numbers Win - Without Using Psychic Moggie Or Professor Von Fakensystem

It is easy to pick lottery numbers - all you have to do is buy the book of a lottery pro and the software of a wheeling guru.

...and then toss them both in the trash as a waste and instead use lucky numbers :-).

There are many ways to pick numbers, and that is the problem.

Who cares? Let me explain.

How many people do your friends know who pick numbers based on birthdays, anniversaries, and lucky numbers?

Most likely, you already use them.

Do it anyway. Most people do it.

However, most people don't realize the potential harm.

Why this matters - Big Time

Most prize tiers have a fixed amount. You match 3 balls you win 'x', match 4 balls you win 'y' etc.

What happens if you win the jackpot?

You can share the jackpot prize in almost every lottery game around the globe with anyone who has also matched all of the numbers.

What happens if Powerball or EuroMillions are won and the draw machine gives you 7, 11, 14 or 21?

The next neighbour who won the jackpot did not get the huge cheer, but the collective cheer of over 2,000 people with the exact same set of numbers.

Champagne corks will pop in their thousands, while winners plan for what to do with their huge winnings.

The lottery companies claim line opens at 7:30 AM the next day, and jaws drop when they find out how many more winners there are.

How their huge jackpot of millions has evaporated and become barely enough to purchase a new car!

It happens.

Here are some ways to stop your jackpot from turning into disappointment.

How to NOT Pick Winning Lottery Numbers

Keep in mind that other people pick numbers differently. Your numbers should be the ones that are ignored by others.

These are some additional tips.

It's not difficult to avoid the 'lucky' numbers. These numbers, such as birthdays and anniversary, are more difficult to avoid. They fall within the 1-31 range (i.e. They fall in the range 1-31 (i.e. days of the month with a greater emphasis on the months than the years). This is a wide range of numbers. I don't recommend avoiding them entirely (although you can), but it's best to avoid choosing all numbers within that range.

Patterns are a favorite hobby of humans. Sequences of numbers such as 3, 6, 9, 12, and so on are what we love to make patterns. Or 7, 14, 21,... People also love to create patterns on the playslip. You're not the only one making a star-shaped or diagonal pattern with your numbers.

Many people fill playlips quickly. People do it anyway, so there is a greater temptation to pick numbers from the top to the bottom. This means they don't pick from the edges or multiple numbers in the same row.

It is not logical to pick numbers that are due' or cold numbers, numbers that haven’t been drawn in a while, etc. If you view the draw as a series of dependent events, those numbers are not 'due'. It's not. You only win based upon what happens in this draw. Nothing in this draw is affected by previous draws. Are those numbers still "due" if they were drawn many times in the auditing draws and test runs that the lottery company conducts every week? The draws where you don't see the ..!) results are not affected.

Mystic moggies, and other esoteric techniques. You are the one who decides what your beliefs are. I don't care if your cat believes he is psychic. But, if you're using any service that sends out the same number to many people, it's not helping.

What should you do to choose your numbers?

Either you can put in the effort to avoid picking the same way as others or you can do your best. If you save your playslips, you only need to do it once.

You can also leave it up to the machine. Quick picks are generated using a random number generator, which makes it very unlikely that you will get a set of "lucky" numbers. You're much more likely to find a bunch of 'unlucky combinations than it could.

[Officially, "unlucky" combinations only have unlucky results up to the point where they win the jackpot ..!]

The simple lottery number generator does a good job. Every combination it generates is as likely to win the lottery as any produced by Professor Von Fakensystem or Psychic Moggie.

While this won't stop you from having fun playing the lottery, it will help you avoid wasting money on shady lottery sellers.

Or psychic lottery cats...
